Lake Bunyonyi is a perfect base for visitors going for gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest National Park. It is located just 2 hours away from this home where mountain gorillas live. You can spend a night or so around Lake Bunyonyi for your nest day’s gorilla adventure. An early rise is however required to be in time for briefing at the park headquarters. In case you are interested in visiting the mountain gorillas, talk to our safari consultant for assistance and advance preparations.
Visit the Batwa People.
You can also take a boat to visit the Batwa Pygmy Tribe. These are people who choose to live in isolation. You will need to make a donation (they will put on a little traditional song and dance show for you). We recommend to our visitors to carry on with some children’s clothes, school supplies, and simple toys to donate to the Batwa community as a way of improving their livelihood.
