Detailed 12 Days Kenya Uganda Wildlife & Gorilla Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Nairobi International Airport & Nairobi National Park Tour
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will warmly welcome you to Kenya. After a short briefing, you will transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for check-in. Later in the day, embark on a wildlife experience in Nairobi National Park, the only national park located so close to a capital city.
Enjoy sightings of lions, giraffes, rhinos, buffaloes, and abundant birdlife set against Nairobi’s skyline. After the game drive, return to your hotel for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2: Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and enjoy scenic drives through the Athi and Kapiti plains, passing the vibrant border town of Namanga on the Kenya–Tanzania frontier. Arrive in Amboseli National Park in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, set out for a game drive in one of Africa’s most picturesque parks. Amboseli is world-famous for its huge elephant herds and iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. Watch elephants wade through swampy areas, predators patrol the plains, and plains game graze freely across the savannah.

Day 3: Full-Day Adventure in Amboseli National Park
Spend a full day exploring Amboseli on morning and afternoon game drives, offering plenty of opportunities to capture stunning wildlife moments. The park’s open landscape makes wildlife viewing exceptionally rewarding. Expect sightings of elephants, lions, gazelles, zebras, hyenas, and a variety of bird species.
The breathtaking view of Kilimanjaro at sunrise or sunset provides a perfect backdrop for photography.

Day 4: Amboseli – Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive through Nairobi, stopping for lunch before continuing to Lake Nakuru National Park. This compact but wildlife-rich park is famed for its spectacular flamingo populations, large rhino sanctuary, tree-climbing lions, giraffes, and leopards.
Enjoy a late-afternoon game drive before retiring to your lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy breakfast and depart for the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, passing through the dramatic Great Rift Valley and the Maasai town of Narok.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before setting off for an exciting afternoon game drive. The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated safari destination, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and extraordinary concentrations of wildlife.

Day 6: Full-Day Wildlife Safari in Maasai Mara
Today is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara on morning and evening game drives. The reserve is home to the Big Five lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant along with cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and vast herds of herbivores.
Between July and October, the Wildebeest Migration fills the plains with millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles in one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi for Flight to Uganda
After an early morning game drive, depart the Mara and travel back to Nairobi, arriving by mid-afternoon. Enjoy lunch en route before heading to the airport for your flight to Entebbe International Airport.
Upon arrival, transfer to Kampala for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Kampala – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, begin a scenic road trip southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Stop at the Equator for photos and continue through the Ankole countryside, known for its long-horned cattle and beautiful landscapes.
Enjoy lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre, then proceed to Bwindi, arriving in time for dinner.

Day 9: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Wake up early for a briefing from park rangers before entering the thick rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Trekking through Bwindi is an emotional and unforgettable experience, and the moment you come face-to-face with the gentle giants is truly awe-inspiring.
You will spend one full hour observing mountain gorillas, taking photographs, and appreciating the beauty of this rare species.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Birdwatching & Relaxation
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, famously known as the “Switzerland of Africa” due to its rolling hills and terraced landscapes. Enjoy a relaxing lunch before taking a boat ride to explore the lake’s many islands.
Bird lovers will enjoy spotting kingfishers, herons, weavers, and other species. You may also interact with the local Bakiga communities.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi – Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s smallest but most scenic parks. Enjoy a game drive upon arrival, with chances to see impalas, zebras, elands, buffaloes, bushbucks, and giraffes.
Overnight at a midrange lodge inside or near the park.

Day 12: Departure
After breakfast, continue to Kampala or Entebbe for your departure flight. Reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and scenic wonders experienced over the last 12 days.
