Mweya Safari Lodge is comfortably and strategically set on the Mweya peninsula, in the heart of Uganda’s most biologically diverse and most beautiful National Park. There is no place so irresistible and worth calling “home away from home” like Mweya and this is partly because of its stupendous rooms or even the fact that it is marked by jaw-dropping sceneries and views that also include the mystical Rwenzori Mountains (dubbed Mountains of the Moon) surrounding the facility.  Guests here are also treated to the views of water flowing endlessly into two large Lakes-Edward and George.

Accommodation options and in-room amenities at Mweya Safari Lodge

Mweya Safari Lodge offers a wide range of room types, catering for visitors of all categories and budgets. There are 2 luxurious suites, 12 Deluxe Rooms and 32 Standard Rooms. However, travellers who yearn for more private and cozy accommodation stay at the family cottages (named the Royal Cottage and the Rwenzori Cottage), luxurious and exclusive stay at the Queen’s Cottage and the Presidential Cottage. Nonetheless, you can also stay at the Luxury tents or Standard Tents.

Presidential Cottage

This airy cottage is well-appointed with large balcony where breathtaking views of the Kazinga Channel and savannah plains are enjoyed in addition to stylish amenities such as the main bedroom featuring a king-size bed, small kitchenette, mini-bar, refrigerator, sophisticated living room with dining area, opulent furniture and fittings, private balcony overlooking the Kazinga Channel, 41-inch Television with satellite channels, twin-bedroom with en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and so much more.

Queen’s Cottage

This type of cottage features a luxurious master bedroom with king-size bed, private en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, airy living or dining room, a grand balcony where breathtaking views of the verdant surrounding vegetation, Kazinga Channel and visiting animals are enjoyed, air-conditioning, in-room safe, 41-inch Television and telephone among others.

You can’t leave Mweya Safari Lodge without trying out the infinity swimming pool overlooking the stunning Kazinga Channel and while here, visitors can enjoy cocktails with panoramic views of Lakes Edward and George as well. You can always quench your thirst at the pool bar sitting on wooden sun decks.

The onsite Gift shop displays and sells different items-souvenirs, art and craft, African clothing, guidebooks and footwear from across the East African region.

Guests also enjoy beautiful sunset views over Lakes Edward and George while sipping your drink at the Tembo Bar. This bar also features spacious verandas for unwinding, beautiful décor as well as furniture.

Visitors are also offered wide range of dining options that include spectacular in-door dining room or the outdoor option on the veranda where jaw-dropping views are also provided. As a special offer, guests are also offered barbeques accompanies by dance performances during Saturday evenings.

The fully-functional Business Center at Mweya Safari Lodge is open between 8am and 8pm with reliable internet connection, video conferencing, whiteboard plus pens, functional A/V equipment and tea/coffee maker, to mention but a few.

The wilderness conference center makes it possible to continue working in a different environment, away from the usual hustles and bustles of the City. They are equipped with boardrooms that cater for all your workshop dreams and air-conditioned conference halls among others.
