Staying at Magashi Camp means you have signed for unmatched experiences of witnessing a wilderness area coming back to life as you watch the big five animals, sweeping savannah plains with freely roaming game, rolling hills as well as open Lakes. Being here means you are prepared to relish views of elephants plunge into the jaw-dropping silver-blue Lake Rwanyakazinga while raising their beautiful trunks like periscopes for fresh air.

The stunning Magashi Camp sits on a secluded area of 6000 hectares within the savannah-based Akagera National Park and it’s more than just accommodation but a magical story of survival as well as regeneration. Akagera National Park in the Eastern border of Rwanda was one of the targets of the 1994 Rwandan genocide and its after-effects where poaching rates increased, owing to the settlement of refugees into the Protected Area.
